IDEAL INTERN: COLLEGE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE INTERSECTION OF FAITH, WORK, AND POLITICS

PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL TRAINING

MISSION TRIP COMPONENT

$2,000 STIPEND

We seek to restore Christian influence in our society for the sake of the world. Our desire is to equip Christians to shape culture in business, government, education, arts, media, entertainment and the social sector. Advancing the kingdom of God ‘on earth as it is in heaven’… This is why the Institute for Faith and Culture exists.”

ROBERT J. PACIENZA, Founder, Institute for Faith & Culture

A worldview is a comprehensive philosophical interpretation and explanation of reality. Everyone has a worldview, whether they are conscious of it or not. An individual’s worldview involves beliefs and assumptions about the universe and all the experiences of life. Worldviews shape and inform the way that we approach philosophy, religion, science, government, economics, education, and the arts. Though worldviews are as old as human history, all non-Christian worldviews stand in contrast to the Christian and Biblical worldview. The Institute for Faith and Culture is committed to equip you with the ability to understand your worldview in the context of scripture as your only “rule of life and faith”.

Spiritual formation is a lifelong process with divinely intended goals for the believer that happens most effectively for the person in community. Spiritual formation is the divinely-human act that God uses to bring every believer into Christ’s image. Thus it has four parts:  it is primarily spiritual, it is a process, it is purposeful, and it happens within the context of community.

Interns will explore Biblical leadership principles as they develop their worldview. They will create a vision and outcome for their vocational calling and personal life. Interns will build a network of thought leaders in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

The Institute of Faith and Culture is designed to provide education and training in the areas of ministry and vocation. You will have the opportunity to learn through firsthand experience with mentors who are active in the public square, marketplace, church and non-profits. You will also have an international mission experience to Cuba. Part of the internship program will focus on classes in ministry design to help you plan a model of ministry that you can practically implement over the course of the summer.
