Barbados Mission Trip | Day Four

Dylan Celada:
Today I went to the church in St. Michael, where we are doing our training. In the morning while we were there, Brody and I converted someone to Christ. We also had some great conversations with the people from Barbados. During our time at the church we also saw a wild monkey.

Barbados Day 4- Diving Into Community
Mark 12:31 “Love your neighbor as yourself”
Today was the first day of the EE clinic. I met new people and enjoyed sharing the gospel with so many potential believers. I felt so blessed that God has called me and so many others to spread his word and to bring them and ourselves closer to Christ. I was challenged by leading an OJT and it was great to step out of my comfort zone.
Brian Bonds:
I’m so grateful for this team and group of students. Today we got to see the fruit of many years of labor pay off. Some students have been practicing EE for years and some for weeks, but all came together today and performed at a high level for our God. In the morning we traveled to our clinic site and dispersed into town to do our own OJT’s (on the job trainings), and one woman we spoke to made the decision to commit her life to Christ!
When we returned, pastors from Barbados watched as our students demonstrated the EE outline. Our students were bold and courageous when they presented in front of an audience and performed their demonstrations nearly flawlessly. It was an especially pleasurable moment for me because I watched former students who practiced EE endlessly in the classrooms at Westminster Academy display those same talents on foreign soil with such poise and professionalism. It was truly a sight to behold- I only wish more people were there to see!
Once the clinic subsided we paired up with new evangelism teams that included our pastor friends from Barbados. Ten different evangelism groups hit the streets for about an hour and a half, and our group traveled to a nearby park where there were “Road Tennis” courts. We watched and learned the game from the locals while sharing the gospel and Lynn-Rose Ruiz and Lilly Aguiar were instrumental in leading a gentleman to Christ!
Later we reported back to the larger group (approx 50) and got to hear the stories of the nine other groups. Many people had the gospel shared with them, and almost every group had one or more professions of faith! It was truly a testament to God to see this kind of movement to one day of evangelism training.
We ask for prayers of humility to lower ourselves as servants, a cleansed heart and mind to listen to the Holy Spirit, and strength to do the work God has commissioned us to do since the beginning of time.
Thank you!
